My name’s Annalee. I was born in October on Easy Street in a shack in Maine with no electricity and no running water. (I’m serious. My parents were hippies. My middle name is Autumn!) We moved to LA when I was 9 and my whole world turned upside down. I love the weather in LA, but I miss the blueberry fields and moss covered rocks in streams.
I grew up in Temecula, CA – junior high and high school. I went to UC Santa Barbara and graduated with a BA in both Film and English. I applied and got into the small Creative Writing Emphasis program. I started a band my sophomore year and don’t really remember studying, but I remember all our shows!
I lived in San Francisco, while waiting for technology to get to where I needed it to be: digital. I make digital films and music and I love it! I taught myself Final Cut Pro, I taught myself how to use DV cameras, I taught myself how to use digital music software, I taught myself how to play guitar.
I live in LA with my man and write and make digital videos for my day job. In my “spare” time, I write and make digital narrative movies. It’s amazing. I’ve done so many other “day” jobs, I never thought I’d get to be creative for a living.
